Frances Antonia
“My name is Fran and I’m hiking the 769 kms of the Camino Frances as an Ambassador for One Girl.
I’ll start at the base of the Pyrenees in the French medieval town of St Jean-Pied-du-Port in April 2018 and end in the Spanish town of Santiago de Compostella sometime in May 2018 (around 30 days).
Traditionally, pilgrims took the route for religious reasons and I consider myself a “modern pilgrim”. For me it’s the challenge, the adventure and the opportunity to use the privilege I have to contribute to what matters.
I have a great love of hiking. (I have completed the OXFAM 100km trail walk in under 24 hours) Not only the physical and mental challenge but also the spirituality and clarity that comes from the silence, movement and the freedom of walking outdoors. And I wish to share this message of adventure, travel, charity and ethical choices.”
