Our men’s CAPE TO CAPE LIGHT HIKER socks are the perfect companions for your hiking, climbing or walking adventures.
Why?
Simple: our WildernessWool™ reduces unpleasant foot odours, while the synthetic fibres extend durability. And the men’s C2C will also impress with its fit. Thanks to the ergonomically, optimized 1/2 length sock height, which allows the cuff to sit perfectly below the calf muscle. The socks will fit perfectly without slipping down. Our SFS (Secure-Fit-System) prevents creasing and keeps the socks where they belong. There is also additional padding in the heel and toe area for good cushioning. Greater breathability is ensured by the webbing system that runs across the top of the foot area. This makes the men’s C2C the ideal companion for your feet, whether on a casual walk or on demanding hikes. Light weight, all day comfort.
THE NATURAL PARADISE OF TASMANIA
100% of the merino wool from this collection comes from Tasmania. The wool from this natural paradise is premium-quality and hard wearing. But just as important for us, this material is ethically and ecologically sound. We have very high expectations of the farmers. A large portion of their working time is committed to ensuring sustainable farm management and animal welfare.
EXP – Machine washable, chlorine free, total easy care.

Athletic FitMore of a “tailored” fit that is tighter across the middle and shoulder sections in tops and tighter across the backside, upper thigh and lower leg sections in leggings. Slim FitA snug, close-to-the body fit for low bulk, layering. Clothing in this style don’t have extra fabric hanging or draping anywhere. Regular FitNeither snug, nor loose, these garments are worn solo or over other layers. Regular fit clothing tends to fit most body types comfortably and have a little extra fabric than slim fit. Relaxed FitRelaxed refers to a fit that’s looser than regular, but not baggy. Typically, relaxed clothing provide a comfortable, looser fit. |

Three pairs of Wilderness Wear Cape to Cape Light Hiker socks have arrived in the post quite quickly after ordering, thank you. I purchased my first two pairs on the recommendation of one of your staff members when purchasing a back pack. The local manufacturing and Australian wool that produced them, with enough Lycra and nylon to allow them to wear well and wash simply attracted me at the time. The impression of a quality sock has been proven to me by close to daily use of my first two pairs in my work boots for nearly six months, without any significant signs of wear. Whilst not cheap, I’m committing to going for quality to ensure wise use of resources. It’s great to be able to buy such good quality.
A bit over a year ago I started training in earnest for a long
walk that I am taking later this year, the Camino de Santiago.
Once I began getting some serious hours up in daily and
weekend walks I started to refine my options for clothing,
shoes and of course, my socks. Apart from the obvious
decisions about comfort, the socks needed to be merino wool as
they appear to be the only type of sock that can be washed at night
and be ready to wear the next morning. This is important when I am
only taking two pairs of socks in total. When you are going to walk
for over a month and plan for the total backpack weight including a
sleeping bag to come in under 6 kilos, everything has to perform
well. There can be no passengers.I bought some very well regarded
and highly priced brands, and all performed really well for the shorter
walks or in any normal activity. But during summer, these fancied
brands often fell short as pounding the pavement for several hours
in temperatures in the high 30’s showed the construction was not
suitable for softening feet in overheated conditions. One day I
ended up with an imprint of a sock’s internal construction embedded
into my sole, and that was from a very well regarded brand .I started
to look at other varieties of merino socks and gave the Wilderness
‘Cape to Cape Light Hiker’ socks a try.
