SIZE GUIDEFrost-Free Socks — Built for the Coldest, Toughest Conditions
Wilderness Wear’s Women’s Frost-Free Socks are engineered for people who work and perform in extreme environments. Originally designed for cold-storage and freezer workers, and trusted by ocean-racing sailors, these socks are perfect for anyone wearing gumboot-style footwear or facing long hours in cold, wet conditions.
Advanced Thermal Performance
Frost-Free Socks deliver exceptional warmth thanks to a premium blend of Merino wool and Schoeller® polypropylene. These fibres have long been leaders in technical thermal wear, each bringing its own strengths. Merino wool provides natural climate regulation, keeping you warm even when wet, while remaining odour-resistant and incredibly soft against the skin. Schoeller® polypropylene adds advanced moisture-management and rapid drying, ensuring zero moisture retention and consistent insulation during both physical activity and long periods of standing. Together, they create a hybrid performance sock that adapts quickly to changing temperatures, keeps feet dry, and maintains comfort throughout the day.
Secure, Supportive Fit
Every pair of Frost-Free Socks is built using Wilderness Wear’s Secure Fit System. This includes Y-gore engineering for better heel stability, strategic reinforcement in high-wear areas, a relaxed top that stays comfortable during long shifts, and an anatomical toe box for a natural fit. A virtually seamless toe construction helps prevent rubbing, making the sock suitable for extended wear in demanding boots.
Australian Made with Sustainable Wool
Proudly made in Australia, Frost-Free Socks use WildernessWool™ — premium Tasmanian Merino selectively bred for quality, sustainability, and full provenance. The yarn is treated with EXP®, a technology that avoids harmful chemicals while maintaining fibre softness and performance.
Warm, durable, and engineered for harsh conditions, Frost-Free Socks are the ultimate cold-weather gumboot companion.

Women’s Body Measurements
BUST: Measure the circumference of your chest. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front) to get the measurement.
WAIST: Measure the circumference of your waist. Use the tape to circle your waist (sort of like a belt would) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline.)
HIP: Measure the circumference of your hips. Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your hips.
INSIDE LEG: This is the distance from the uppermost inner part of your thigh to the bottom of your ankle. If you have a pair of pants that fit you perfectly, measure the inseam of the pants, again from the crotch to the hem.

Athletic Fit
More of a “tailored” fit that is tighter across the middle and shoulder sections in tops and tighter across the backside, upper thigh and lower leg sections in leggings.
Slim Fit
A snug, close-to-the body fit for low bulk, layering. Clothing in this style don’t have extra fabric hanging or draping anywhere.
Regular Fit
Neither snug, nor loose, these garments are worn solo or over other layers. Regular fit clothing tends to fit most body types comfortably and have a little extra fabric than slim fit.
Relaxed Fit
Relaxed refers to a fit that’s looser than regular, but not baggy. Typically, relaxed clothing provide a comfortable, looser fit.
