These are a genius concept!
These are a genius concept! I’ve never come across merino used in a compression garment before (and assumed it would be impossible to generate enough compression), but these look, feel, and work superbly. I’ve worn them on a bunch of fast-paced hikes through winter, including some light rock scrambling, and they’ve performed and held up wonderfully. I also wore them as pants through winter a bit more than I should probably admit… Lycra compression garments are highly effective, but I always dread pulling them over wet skin, and life gets pretty unpleasant if the sun comes out and you start overheating in your shrink wrapping. Else it starts raining and you freeze to death. None of these are issues with these highly breathable merino compression leggings.nMy only comment/criticism is regarding the cut and sizing. Based on my measurements, you (correctly) guessed me at a 10, which is unheard of for me (I’m typically a 6/XXS, or whatever the smallest size is in any given brand). I’d suggest adding a note to the product page that these size small. I also found the cut around the backside to be a bit… shallow? I don’t have a lot in the way of glutes, but I still found that these tended to dip slightly lower at the rear of the waistband, which is obviously not desirable if you’re having to bend over a lot. I really liked the low hipster cut of them so it wasn’t that – just not quite enough “scoop” constructed into the backside, for me.
