I am really surprised about the comfort and functionality of this sock.
I did yesterday evening/night a hiking “full moon” tour and wear the Overland Hiker socks. They a really fantastic and have a great soft comfort. I am really surprised about the comfort and functionality of this sock.

You instantly notice the quality and the fabric is so soft
MerinoFusion 160 short sleeve tee will be a favourite, particularly during the colder months. Opening the box you instantly notice the quality and the fabric is so soft. I liked the cut and how it sat when I wore it, the additional length is appreciated too. I’ve worn it on several runs and it kept me dry & toasty.

I love this hoodie. It looks and feels great,
I love this hoodie. It looks and feels great, is highly functional (breathable and warm in wet), is reasonably resistant to piling which often happens to mid layers, and the built in face gaiter is genius. I also really like the aesthetic of the slightly bunched neck (caused by the gaiter scoop) when the hood is down. The hood itself is generously sized and well fitted so it wraps properly around your head – most hoods without drawstrings don’t achieve this kind of close fit and either end up with an ugly pointed bit at the top, or sit back behind your hairline and aren’t particularly useful. This (and the Glacier Pullo) became my go-to clothing items for casual use as outers/under a vest, and under a shell for more serious outdoor use, this winter. I found the sleeves and hem to be a little longer than necessary – this didn’t bother me, but I’d be interested to hear what ladies wearing larger sizes report on the sleeve/hem length. I do have a particularly short torso, so this may be partially responsible.

Overall construction is beautiful
These got a hammering over winter! I didn’t wear anything but these for ~5 months straight. Most of the time was with an ultralight merino singlet base layer (even lighter than the WW cool 155), but I tried them a couple of times in warmer conditions minus the base layer just to see how they fared from a “survival” point of view (accidentally overdressing for conditions) – happy to report it was very manageable in direct sunlight in 20+ degrees (sweaty but not “hot”), and zero odour. Retain 90% warmth even when soaking wet. I had a big crash into wildlife at 40+km/h at night on a fire trail which destroyed everything I was wearing on the outer – I had the jersey under an ultralight rain jacket (ripped to shreds). The jersey copped a couple of tiny holes in the shoulder where I skidded on the exposed fabric for a few metres, but not enough to bother tack stitching as the tears aren’t running. I was highly impressed by this durability, and it gave me a lot of confidence in wearing the jersey through scratchy bushes, and for MTB trail use (high frequency crashing).nThe styling and reflective elements are excellent. Overall construction is beautiful, and the slightly dropped tail offers good protection in the wet. Pockets retain impressive stiffness for merino with minimal sagging, and are a generous size for snacks/phone/packable jacket. The 1/4 zip was sufficient to get the jersey on/off over a helmet and vent effectively without adding unnecessary bulk. My only comment is regarding bulk/packability, for my very specific bike packing purposes – the zip pull is quite large (which I understand is great in cold conditions with thick gloves, but starts to add weight and bulk), and the bottom silicon gripper and double thickness hem seam makes it a fairly hefty item to scrunch up and pack, compared with other merino jerseys I’ve worn. This is only a consideration when I’m on trips carrying >1 jersey/tee (so that one is packet at all times), and I’m unusually obsessive about pack size because bag real estate is in such short supply on my small bike. A really spectacular active merino jersey though (and I’ve worn some jerseys in my time…), and extremely competitive price for the quality – well done.

Love them
Thick socks aren't my thing, so these are great for me. I wear them everyday. The bamboo feels really good on your feet.

These are my go to socks
After big days on my feet...whether they be long runs, hilly hikes or time at work it’s important for me to take care of my legs to be able to bounce back and go again the next day. These are my go to sock when the day is done, it’s cold out and it’s time to kick back and absorb the work of the day! nWarm and supportive these socks are comfortable as well as compressive and I feel my legs are ready to go again the next day. I find they are also comfortable to sleep in and excellent if you are out camping and want something to wear round the camp at night especially when it’s cold!

Super comfy, love the colour/design
Super comfy, love the colour/design. Ideal weight and cushioning for me (I don’t deal well with thick or highly padded socks). I really like this height (for me @160cm) for running or hiking in low profile shoes. Sensational performance when wet. Photoluminescent yarn doesn’t seem particularly effective, but doesn’t impact on the sock comfort/function so not a big deal.

So good
What I hate about compression is that it’s often too restrictive and tight when exercising. I also feel like I’m wearing a very clingy plastic bag, that doesn’t keep you warm when wet, and quickly becomes stinky and I just need to get it off. However, this thermal is different. I don't get too hot when I'm working hard, or cold when I'm wet. And because it's Merino, it doesn't smell. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I both tried out our new socks today and were very happy!
I started following Frances Antonia on Instagram and became curious about your socks through seeing them on there. So I ordered some on Friday evening and didn't expect them to come so quickly. My husband and I both tried out our new socks today and were very happy! They were so comfortable. I'm set for my upcoming trip to Tassie, and my husband is happy that he has found comfortable socks to wear with his work boots. We'll probably be ordering some more before long!nAnd we love that they are all Australian!
