The softness and quality of the Merino Fusion is very impressive.
Hi, I just wanted to say that I am very happy with all the items I have purchased. The softness and quality of the Merino Fusion is very impressive. I am sure I will get many years of wear out of the tops. nI will definitely be a returning customer.

Sweet haul for dad's day
Pretty stoked to get these socks on fathers day. No joke.
I spend hundreds on my running shoes, but have been wearing cheap cotton socks - these are a significant upgrade. Most noticeable when I put them on (they are soft), and then when I take my running shoes off after my run - my feet are pretty dry. Wish I'd invested in good socks earlier. Thanks kids!

Three Capes socks – unreal. They’re super soft and comfortable, yet at no point did they feel hot or constricting.
Last month, I hiked all around the Snowy Mountains and on one day in particular (during the recent wild weather in NSW) I hiked up to the Kosciuszko summit. The rain was horizontal, the wind chill was freezing, and the visibility was extremely minimal. Yet, despite the punishing conditions, I was snug as bug. My base layer was the MerinoFusion 190 Switch Hoodie which as you probably guessed, comes with a hood (very useful!). I also wore the Three Capes Merino Hiker socks.
Firstly, the base layer was a snug, warm, comfortable fit with a hood that actually fit very well and protected me from the harsh wind. Even when my outer hood was repeatedly ripped off by wind gusts, it held firm. Not once did I actually feel the biting cold that was working its way through my increasingly wet gloves. So comfortable was this top, that I’m absolutely buying another for the 600km trek.
Secondly, the Three Capes socks – unreal. They’re super soft and comfortable, yet at no point did they feel hot or constricting. They seemed to stabilize my feet within the boot and the cushioning in the sole made each footfall much more pleasant than I’m typically used to, that was a welcome surprise.
I didn’t only get the Three Capes socks, I got a few different styles to trial before the trek and if I’m being honest, all my old socks are feeling rather abandoned as I’m ‘testing’ my Wilderness Wear socks on a daily basis, at home, at work and on the trail – because they’re all so comfy!
As someone who wore cheap socks and didn’t see the value in investing in proper, quality socks – I’ve learned a lesson. I didn’t know what I was missing out on. Absolutely stellar gear, thank you!

So comfortable was this top, that I’m absolutely buying another for the 600km trek.
In May 2021, I trekked 600kms solo across Tasmania. You can imagine that I needed some pretty comfy gear to achieve this. When the weather is cold, wet, icy - feet can be particularly at risk. Having completed some very long treks previously, I knew that for 600kms I'd need gear that could handle extremes.
I came across Wilderness Wear and at first glance, really liked their values and all-local (Australian) made socks and thermals. They were very well reviewed and so I decided to give the gear a go.

Atmosphere Q Trail run sock are the best hiking sock I've had so far.
After a word of mouth recommendation, I Visited this company as they are in the next suburb to me, hoping to purchase a particular sock, but instead was provided with a different sock more suitable for my needs and a 30min explanation of their products, raw materials and how they are made in the warehouse. Will defiantly purchase more gear from this company when the time comes as the product offering is much better to what is available in retail stores. I'm happy that john took time out of his day to show me the product lines WW produces and allow me to view the products before purchasing, not many Aus-Made do this. Atmosphere Q Trail run sock are the best hiking sock I've had so far.

My toes are warmer than they have been for weeks.
I could not believe how quickly my order arrived. I out in an order around lunchtime yesterday and was able to collect at a country post office at lunchtime today. That is so impressive. The Small Merino Fleece socks are a little large, as other reviewers have said I think, but they will do the job. My toes are warmer than they have been for weeks.

I would absolutely recommend these to other outdoor enthusiasts.
Gave these flash colourful socks a test on a recent hike up Bungalow Spur to Mt Feathertop. In icy cold (-8 degrees) conditions my feet stayed dry and felt great throughout the hike. I didn't get the normal wet feet from sweat or snow getting down into my boots, instead the light socks kept them warm and comfortable. I was concerned with how thin the socks are but after 20km going up and down a mountain I am pretty impressed.
The colour scheme alone won over several people I've shown these to.
I would absolutely recommend these to other outdoor enthusiasts.

I never wanted to take it off
What I hate about compression is that it's often too restrictive for free and efficient movement when exercising. I also feel like I'm wearing a very clingy plastic bag, that doesn't keep you warm when wet, and quickly becomes stinky and I just need to get it off! HOWEVER my Wilderness Wear 200% Australian owned woolen compression thermal is unbelievably awesome! It's snug, and keeps me warm when in and out of water, no seams that chafe under the arms. Whilst rowing the George Bass Surf Boat Marathon in the heat of January, along the south coast of NSW, I would spend several hours every day in and out the water, either rowing or sitting immobile in the support boat. Going from icy cold water to hard exercise in the heat, to sitting damp and still in a windy support boat. I never wanted to take it off. After 7 days with only a daily rinse, it didn't stink!

Have worn the Cool Merino Tee often for summer runs. Brilliant
Have worn the Cool Merino Tee often for summer runs. Brilliant. Soaks up the sweat but never get saggy or extra heavy. Dries quickly and doesn’t rub or anything. Sizing is perfect. Haven’t worn it much with a running pack but the few times I have it has been no problem.

really comfortable, fits well and handles the sweat well
Have worn it a fair bit for more casual/cafe rides. Prefer the more Lycra/skin tight feel when I’m really pushing hard for time. It is however really comfortable, fits well and handles the sweat well. Really big, good size pockets mean I don’t need to bring a bag but when it is loaded up can be a little saggy.
